ASPEN Valley ARTists
There is a reason painters, writers,
photographers, thinkers, creative artists in all mediums have been drawn to this
longitude, latitude and altitude ever since it was discovered. I have
already shared with you paintings of
Tania Dibbs.
I have shown you the semiprecious stones and handcrafted beads, Baubles-n-Stone
of Missen Brucker. you've read here about the hand made leather bound journals of
Trevor Washko of Cold
Mountain Craft. and give me any excuse I will always write about the lyrics
and music of John Oates who has been playing some of the tunes around town from his
great new sounds on his new album,
1000 Miles of Life, the inspiration and mythology and independent
spirit of his neighbor Hunter S. Thompson lives you've seen images
of the glories of this remarkable environment in this space
But I haven't
yet shared so much more ... like the tastes of locally harvested goat's
milk cheese, organic, homemade deserts, mountain pottery and soaps. Now,
I'd like to dedicate an ongoing web page and with any luck locally taped and
nationally distributed television show featuring, among other topics, the art and artisans of Aspen. Artists flock to the
inspirational environs of the great American West. Native Americans knew
what they had and honored this land. We owe so much to them. So we'll keep honoring them and the
bounty borne of this land. more later. best/bonnie
